admin@nasports.com . Without exception, all requests must be received on or before July 15th, 2012 to be eligible for a partial refund of $150.00 USD. Transfers or deferrals are NOT permitted.

What are the benefits?
Athletes receive an entry into a sold-out Ironman event and a $528.00 tax-deductible receipt.

When will I receive my tax letter?
Tax letters will be sent to athletes and donors via E-mail at the end of each month. The letter will state the amount of the contribution. In the event that an athlete has secured matching donations through employer donors and received a refund for any and all part of the charitable donation amount, the tax receipt will reflect only the amount that is deductible under US law.

Where are the funds generated by the NA Sports Community Foundation spent?
The funds collected for the events are put into a Foundation account and distributed in a couple of ways.
For each event all of our volunteer groups that support the event elect to have funds donated to charities of their choice. In 2010 we donated approx 50K to these various groups which range from local churches, youth athletic groups , to Boy & Girls club.
The other component is use of funds toward capital projects within a community so that Ironman has a more lasting impact in the area.
In Florida in 2008 (which was the 10th anniversary) – the Foundation funded the construction of a Lion’s Den’ hospital room at Bay Medical Center in conjunction with Companions in Courage:

In Lake Placid for our the 10th anniversary a Summer/ Winter rink/ sport court was built for use by community both as an ice rink in winter and multi-use court in summer.
In CDA we have contributed over 120K toward the newly completed Salvation Army Kroc Center.
In Canada there was probably our biggest project ever with a new indoor recreational facility which included running/ walking track and recreational facilities so families and community members can remain active throughout the year.
